Choosing the right school

Choosing the right school and program for your post-secondary education is a serious decision.

Some of the more important factors that need to be considered include the quality of education you'll receive, the experience of the instructors, the job market upon graduation and perhaps most importantly how do employers within the industry view the reputation of the school and program.

To get truthful answers without hype about how good a school is, you really need to look at the end results.

Are graduates happy with their education? Do employers value and first hire graduates from one school over another school on a regular basis? Do the instructors have practical experience in the industry or do they rely on teaching theory?

Our graduates say it best in words (see testimonials) and in securing
well paying jobs, often in supervisory positions with leading forestry
firms and government departments.

We are proud of our 59 year track record in educating today's and
tomorrow's leaders in the forest industry. We specialize in teaching forestry, so your total focus day after day is working and learning with students and faculty who are passionate about the outdoors, our natural resources and wanting to make a difference.

We welcome you find out more about the Maritime College of Forest
Technology and how we can help you realize your dreams of a career in forestry.

Our Graduates Say it Best!

Maritime College of Forest Technology gave me many things:
The time to focus on learning and soak up as much forestry knowledge as I could possibly jam into my brain; a foundation of technical forestry skills that I successfully use in my work; and my belief in an honest work ethic.

Gareth Davis, Perth-Andover, NB

Attending Maritime College of Forest Technology opened doors and opportunities that would never have been opened. I was given the tools to build a career and a life. I not only learned about forestry; I learned life lessons and work ethics that I’ll
keep forever. The instructors are of the highest calibre and will go out of their way to help you!
