FACILITIES FOR TRAINING

The Maritime College of Forest Technology is well equipped for training in all areas of forest technology. The lecture theatre is equipped with modern multi-media equipment. The college has a modern computer lab with leading edge hardware and software pertinent to the forest industry. The students get hands on experience with a wide variety of forestry technical equipment. The University of New Brunswick Forest, adjacent to the College, is used as a field laboratory in which knowledge gained in the classrooms is given practical application. The nearby Noonan Forest is also available for field instruction. Outside lecturers are brought in from the Forest Industry, university faculties and from various provincial and federal government departments to further enhance the educational experience. Students also get to visit a number of operations ranging from large industrial operations to research laboratories.
