MANDATE

The Maritime College of Forest Technology maintains excellence in course and training programs through qualified faculty and staff, state of the art training materials, procedures and facilities and maximizing opportunities to teach and train in the forest.  Our residential environment and course standards promote a responsible work ethic, discipline, punctuality, accountability and team approach to problem resolutions and project completion.

Our institution maintains regional and international accreditation.  We instill in our graduates a land ethic, which will guide their actions and dealings with the land, their clients, employers, the general public and colleagues, in the interests of sustainable ecosystems.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Maritime College of Forest Technology is to produce competent forest technologists for service with private, industrial or public (government) forestry or natural resource organizations.

The program is officially recognized by the Society of American Foresters, and the Association of Registered Professional Foresters of New Brunswick.

Our Graduates Say it Best!

Some institutes only teach you tools to be able to perform a certain trade. Maritime College of Forest Technology teaches and develops
you to become a respected and valued asset to a company.

Jason Casey, Silviculture/GIS Manager, Elmsdale Lumber Company Ltd.

Immediately after graduation from Maritime College of Forest Technology I moved to Alberta and was hired as a Forest Officer. The person who hired me was a previous Maritime College of Forest Technology graduate. I got the job of my dreams and became part of a fraternity that reaches across the
country. It is something that makes me very proud!

Kali Hennessey, Forest Officer I, Waterways Area, Northeast Region
