Ian Smith
Ian is a lifelong outdoor educator, recently retired from Parks New Brunswick where his responsibilities entailed managing education, outreach and community building at the provincial level.
He has a degree in Physical Education from UNB.
His eclectic background includes outdoor programming with “at-risk youth”, young offenders, first nation youth and students from kindergarten to University.
Ian is a founding member and facilitator with Great Minds Think Outside, training Teachers in Outdoor Education.
He is an Outward Bound Canada Instructor, Outdoor Council of Canada Trainer and Paddle Canada Instructor.
He is also a proud Grandfather of three.
Beth Johnston
For close to 40 years Beth has been guiding young and old into the wilderness with Outward Bound Canada and for the last 10 years has been guiding for walking tours, travel writers and film crews in her own and much loved province of New Brunswick.
She is an Outdoor Council of Canada trainer for new instructors and teaches the Field Leader hiking, canoeing and winter sessions.
Her outdoor passions include canoe tripping, white water canoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, exploring new trails and areas of local interest and gardening!
Her passion in her work, and in her play, is to make any outdoor adventure a safe, educational and fun adventure for all!
