Although MCFT accepts courses based on Computer Science and Multimedia Studies, it is beneficial for incoming students to be skilled in a Computer Application course that deals with desktop applications such as word and excel. All entrance requirements for MCFT are based on University/College preparation courses. Provincial course names, levels and codes may differ from those that are deemed requirements by MCFT, in such a case appropriate actions regarding entrance requirements will be taken to correct any discrepancies.

All applicants are required to have the minimum course selection outlined in the Admission Requirements, all courses rated higher than the minimum requirements are beneficial and recommended. It is essential that other preparatory courses like creative writing, chemistry and advanced math are taken into consideration when preparing for a post-secondary education.
